About the Role
The Exercise Specialist Assistant supports our wellness mission by delivering engaging fitness experiences, developing exercise programs, and promoting health initiatives in our community. You'll have the opportunity to work with individuals of all fitness levels and be part of a vibrant, mission-driven team.
What You'll Do
- Lead safe and effective aerobics and group fitness classes
- Assist with wellness screenings and health promotion programs
- Promote and manage memberships for individuals and local businesses
- Support employee wellness programs
- Help develop and market fitness classes and wellness initiatives
- Stay current with exercise trends and certifications
- Provide guidance and encouragement to participants
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled in or graduate of a degree program in Exercise Science, Health Education, Athletic Training, or related field
- Ability to obtain a fitness certification within 6 months of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Energetic, outgoing, and a great communicator
- Customer service skills and the ability to multi-task
- A strong role model for healthy living
