Position Title: Insurance Biller I- Full Time (FT)
Department: Patient Accounts
Reports to: Director, Patient Accounts
Nature of Work
York General is happy to announce an opening for a new Full Time Insurance Biller to meet our growing patient needs! This position is completely on-site. If you have strong communication skills, are detail-oriented, and have a desire to help our patients as they manage insurance claims, this would be a great job for you!

What You Will Do
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of third party payer claims and related follow-up
- Addresses billing questions from patients and payers. Processes all requests for additional information from payers.
- Performs follow-up functions on non-payment and problematic claims within established guidelines, including denials.
- Records insurance and patient payment information.
- Verifies patient insurance for benefits and eligibility
What You Need
- To be able to work completely on-site
- HS diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant work experience is required
- 6 months of experience in a medical billing office or similar
