What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Boys Tennis Coach position at York High School?
York High School is currently seeking a Boys' Varsity Tennis Coach, beginning the Spring of 2025.
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and character-traits:
Prior coaching experience is preferred (consideration will be given to candidates with other levels of experience who can articulate why they are well-positioned to lead a varsity program)
An understanding of practice planning and organization that maximizes opportunities for student-athletes to participate in an engaging, challenging, and rewarding way
An ability to model exemplary moral standards for student-athletes, and a commitment to helping the continued growth of a program
A willingness to work closely with any assistant coaches, as well as across the entire YHS coaching staff
Excellent communication skills, that help allow for clear expectations to be provided to both student-athletes and parents
**This is a part-time, seasonal, stipended position** York High School values the role that co-curricular activities play in the development of young men and women, and provides support to ensure that coaches are trained and educated to provide the best possible experience for student-athletes.
