We have a new opportunity for a Cashier/Budget Reimbursement Specialist. This is a full-time, 36 hours per week position working Monday - Friday between at our York Hospital Main Campus.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers to post appropriate payment and denial codes
- Accurately post payments and adjustments to appropriate patient accounts and or general ledger accounts
- Balance all batches to ensure accurate reporting of payments received
- Validate electronic payment posting and evaluate remittances for exceptions, recoupments and other deductions from invoiced amounts
- Scan checks and record deposits on daily cash log
- Other duties assigned as needed
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Viewing of computer and printed material for long periods of time
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience is healthcare insurance billing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong data entry skills
- Proficient 10 key skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Able to work within a team in a professional and courteous manner
