We currently have an opportunity for experienced Surgery Support Staff to join our Special Procedures Team. The Surgery Support Staff is responsible for surgery scheduling, preparing charts, answering phones, and other office duties.
The Primary responsibilities include:
- Surgery scheduling for both OR & Special Procedures.
- Calling patients with arrival times.
- Acts as a liaison and provides communication between nursing, providers and non-clinical staff with any changes that happen with the daily surgery schedule.
- Assures patient charts are properly assembled.
- Answers phones
- Communication with Physician Practices
In order to help us continue to provide exceptional patient experiences, we're looking for you to have these skills:
- Graduate with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of surgery scheduling experience preferred.
- Exceptional Customer Service & Communication skills.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office & McKesson software, such as Paragon preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Associates and/or Bachelors Degree are preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
