York Middle School is seeking a dynamic art educator for a 1 year Art teaching position. This art educator will lead art programming for 7th and 8th grade students in our school, including Advanced Art opportunities for interested students. The ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative to lead and inspire our students, and contribute to our positive school environment. Specifically, we seek an art educator with the following: Maine K-12 Art certification (620 endorsement)Knowledge about choice based classroom practices and studio habits of mindExperience in a proficiency-based learning environment is preferredA collaborative approach to developing student art talents in a middle school environmentWillingness to share a portfolio with the interviewing team
