VIllage Elementary School seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic Educational Technician to join our dedicated team, working in our special education department.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a small group setting.
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as outlined by the special education teacher.
Collaborate with the special education teacher to create and maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
Assist with daily routines, including classroom management, data collection, and progress monitoring.
Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences for students.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other staff members.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Qualifications:
Maine Ed Tech Level II or III authorization (or actively pursuing) preferred.
Prior experience working with students with behavioral challenges is a plus.
Strong understanding of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
