Qualifications:
South Carolina certification as required for the position or eligible for appropriate certification- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong background in technology skills and applications

Job Description:
- Attends various staff meetings to provide input and receive information regarding the library and reference needs of the school.
- Coordinates request of individuals and/or sites (e.g., technical support, equipment requirements) to ensure availability of audio visual equipment for instructional use.
- Develops library media resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students and staff.
- Directs media instructional assistant in providing orientation, training and ensuring assignments are completed appropriately.
- Duplicates audio and video tapes to maintain an appropriate inventory for internal distribution.
- Evaluates media equipment to ensure repairs, provision of technical support and diagnosing malfunctions and/or recommending acquisitions.
- Instructs students to educate them on the proper use of the media center resources (e.g., classification system, use of equipment, care of materials).
- Monitors activities of media center to maintain appropriate working atmosphere.
- Operates a variety of media production equipment and systems (e.g., program channel, video tape, edit media, duplicate media) to provide media production services.
- Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing supporting information and conveying information to others of their actions.
- Responds to inquires by providing information and/or direction.
- Performs other related duties as may be required to support the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
