Operational Technology Manager

Overview: This role is going to be focused on modernizing all of the infrastructure and technology in place at the Minneapolis, MN factory. This person should be well versed in manufacturing factory environments and be able to lead from a strategy perspective to help roadmap implementations but also be hands on when needed. This team runs lean so being able to step in to provide support when needed will be a must have. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can grow into the role - the manager does not want and MES expert or ERP expert per se but someone who wants to be part of the company long term.

Responsibilities:
Helps to Maintain and improve the IT technical systems of the Factory
Primary Point of Contact for Factory IT issues & day to day Factory Operations teams IT requirements
Preventive Maintenance Planning
Coordination of Software updates / Patches on Shop Floor Machines
Documentation of standard procedures for support of IT-related operations in manufacturing and distribution for new and existing processes
Coordinate with Third Party Vendor Support for Factory Applications & Devices as needed
Coordinate with Corporate IT Shared Services Support as needed to ensure seamless support for operations
Project Management for Factory Digital transformation / Factory 4.0 projects in coordination with Operations leadership and IT leader
Seeks to understand Factory technology needs; communicates ideas to functional and technical leaders for implementation and development
Provide timely and advance communications to cross functional teams on technology system changes related to the Factory Operations
Ability to adjust and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
5 years minimum of experience supporting manufacturing information technology in a manufacturing environment

Prefferred Qualifcations:
Associate or Bachelors degree
Experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly lines requiring extensive testing and calibration
Good oral and written communication skills when interacting with factory personnel and ability to articulate issues and requirements to internal & external support teams
Highly motivated with the ability to take ownership of IT issues and requirements and follow through to conclusion
Clear knowledge and understanding of network topology LAN, WAN and Wireless Technologies
Hands on IT skills / experience in scripting & trouble shooting applications
