Job Responsibilities
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.
Tutors needed for Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy / Physiology, Accounting, and Technology support.
The Bilingual (Spanish) Academic Coach performs the following functions :
- Provide in-person academic coaching; helping YTC students learn effective study skills, set and progress-monitor goals, and improve organizational and time-management skills.
- Meet with ACT coordinator to design and implement resources, workshops, and sessions to meet the needs of our bilingual students.
- Conduct outreach to students.
- Enter appointments / summaries / availability in Navigate as necessary.
- Attend coach trainings and meetings.
- Participate in / conduct campus events to promote the ACT as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
