Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure adherence to resident care plans.
- Support individuals with memory care needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following health and safety protocols.
- Foster positive relationships with residents while respecting their rights and dignity.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to appropriate staff members.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents with developmental disabilities or long-term care needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a personal care home, group home, or similar setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
- Experience in medication administration is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Ability to handle the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting and assisting residents as needed.
