Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a Intermediate Effects Capability Developer (SRD) Small Arms to provide experienced capability developer Contractor support to the Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (MCDID), Robotics Requirements Division and Soldier Requirements Division (SRD), at Ft Benning, GA.
Intermediate Effects Capability Developer (SRD) Small Arms serves as the AFC and FCC developer for movement and maneuver ground combat and force modernization integrator for all US Army lethal Close Combat Light weapons systems, ammunition, and their associated fire control and ancillary equipment. The Small Arms Section is responsible for all U.S. Army Small Arms Weapons and Ammunition. The MCDID, Lethality Branch (LB) mission is to determine and establish requirements and priorities and to maintain active involvement in weapon system, munitions, and enabler development, test and evaluation, basis of issue, acquisition/fielding, sustainment, and product improvement. Additionally, LB executes staff interface coordination and liaison with the SRD, MCDID staff and subordinate materiel branches, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Operational Energy, Soldier Systems, Maneuver Battle Lab, Operations and Training, Sniper School, 75th Ranger Regiment, Forces Command (FORSCOM), and Army Material Command (AMC). This mission requires intensive interaction with Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC), Department of Army (DA), Program Executive Offices (PEO), Industry, operating force MACOMs, Marines, Air Force, several acquisition communities and other Army Futures Command Centers of Excellence (CoE).
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the capability solutions associated with current, developmental and future rifle, carbine, bayonet, optics and individual weapon enablers and accessories.
- Shall support the development, writing, staffing, and adjudication of JCIDS documentation to include Capabilities Based Assessment (CBAs), Initial Capabilities Document (ICDs), Cost Benefit Analysis (C-BAs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), DOTMLPF Change Recommendations (DCRs), Capability Development Document (CDDs), and Capabilities Production Document (CPDs).
- Support requirement process to the Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC) and Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) briefings and information requests for Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), Armor Brigade Combat Team (ABCT), programs and future technologies applicable to the BCT formations (Non-disclosure agreements may be required for programs).
- Will also assist with other capability development, doctrine, training and architecture development tasks including: the preparation of draft tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP); threat assessments, development and execution of training plans, and Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP).
- Will prepare MCoE Industry Day presentation slides to share Soldier requirements with industry and provide an opportunity for industry to present potential solutions to Soldier requirements.
- Will participate in the MCoE Maneuver Conference to acquire first-hand information from the field.
- Will assist in preparing updates, briefings, memorandums, information papers and other administrative requirements.
