Are you a hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and organized environments? Yorkview Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in York, PA.
Position Details
Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facility :
- Perform repairs on walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, windows, and other areas as needed.
- Assist with moving furniture to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with nursing services to coordinate daily maintenance in resident living areas.
- Conduct terminal cleaning of resident rooms during transfers, discharges, or other transitions.
- Follow maintenance schedules and supervisor instructions, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain grounds and parking areas by cutting grass, trimming, sweeping, and clearing debris.
- Replace burned-out lightbulbs, including overhead and exit lights, promptly.
- Support the department's Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure optimal operation of machinery and equipment.
- Handle unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as directed.
