What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Team Member position at Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad?
Purpose: To provide a well-kept, clean, and safe facility for the guest experience at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. Perform necessary repairs to the facility, cleaning, and grounds maintenance.
Time-frame: A schedule will be established for each grounds maintenance worker within the railroad's hours of operation. The ability to work weekends is desirable. Regular schedules and on-call schedules are both available options. A typical work day starts at 8:00am. Work shifts can vary from day to day, with later hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer months. This job is seasonal from mid-March to November.
Specific Duties: Perform daily facility and/or grounds maintenance. Perform tasks at the direction of the facilities manager to ensure guest safety and overall satisfaction. Typical duties include; cleaning restrooms, operating a leaf blower, watering grounds, washing tables, sanitizing train, cleaning equipment, emptying trash, parking lot control, and raking the grounds. In addition to being a grounds maintenance worker, an ability to be a team player to the company and complete a variety of jobs as needed. Flexibility is greatly desirable.
Qualifications/Skills: Ability to follow directions and work independently. Skilled in the use of hand tools. Previous maintenance experience. Use of tact and professionalism when dealing with the public.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $16.75 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
