Reports to: YNPCCC Board of Directors (Chair or Co-Chair)
Salary Range: $54,000- $70,000
Duty: El Portal, CA
Employer Paid Benefits: Annual Sick & Vacation Leave & Retirement 1% Match
Position Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of staff and children at the El Portal Child Care facilities. The Executive Director will be required to perform other duties as needed to maintain the Center at an optimal level for all children, their families, and all staff. This position is intended to be administrative and may include direct service delivery. Primary responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations at the facility, plus strategic planning, staffing, supervising, budgeting, and records maintenance for the organization. The Executive Director position is an at-will position and works at the discretion of the YNPCCC Board of Directors (hereafter ‘Board’). The Executive Director reports directly to the Board and is responsible for administering the policies and procedures as set forth by the Board. The primary work location is the El Portal facility.
Qualifications:
● Degree in Early Childhood Education or 12 core semester units early childhood education/development 3 semester units in Administration or Staff Relations
● 4 years teaching experience in a supervised group Child Care Center
● Excellent leadership and organizational skills
● Excellent business management and budgeting skills
● Ability to assist staff in professional development
● Ability to demonstrate and foster a kind, loving, fun, and learning atmosphere
● Ability to multitask, work independently, and problem solve
● Proficient in writing, listening, and oral communication skills
● Ability to demonstrate and maintain confidentiality
● Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor
● Proficient in database, spreadsheet, and word processing software
● Possess and maintain a First Aid and CPR training certificate, or have the ability to attain certification as soon as practical from start date
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must pass a health screening, TB test and Fingerprint clearance for DOJ, FBI and CACI prior to employment.
Must have immunizations for Measles, Pertussis and Flu, or have a Flu Waiver.
