Job Description
This experienced sales leader will join the CloudFest US organization and be responsible for leading sponsorship and exhibit sales efforts for the November 2025 CloudFest USA event. This is a re-launch of a long-standing event that is moving from Austin to Miami and looking for significant growth. This is an exciting opportunity to have equity in fast-growing events business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales campaign execution, including targeting, pipeline management, deal closing and accurate reporting of performance for US edition of a successful global franchise
- Build relationships with existing clients and renew business for 2025
- Generate new business in existing software, hardware and services markets
- Work closely with European leadership and sales team to develop product knowledge and build relationships with key clients
- Achieve revenue targets, using KPIs to drive execution of the sponsorship strategy
- Develop and maintain strong contacts within the cloud service provider ecosystem
- Acquire relevant product knowledge to support and drive sponsorship initiatives, engaging in relevant content and future strategy as appropriate to drive growth
- Work closely and collaborate with all functions of the Cloudfest team – content, marketing and operations
- Understand customers’ business objectives and deliver tailored solutions leveraging a range of package elements through tailored campaigns
- Effective prospecting - be fully aware of the competitive event and media landscape – and feedback into the overall event strategies
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:
- Experience selling to to enterprise technology or Fortune 500 companies
- Broad interest in technology and ability to grasp a new industry quickly
- Previous experience in a B2B sales role, including pitching and driving new business activities for growth
- Determination to exceed expectations and problem solve for customers
- A hungry, motivated and competitive self-starter who is driven by their own goals
- Strong team player who is accountable for their business, but collaborative as well
- Strong commercial acumen, relationship builder and contributor of ideas
Experience
Must have at least five years of event sales experience, including some experience in the technology sector.
