We are an established ultrasound company renowned for providing elective 3D/4D ultrasounds, early gender ultrasounds, and 6-week heartbeat ultrasounds. We are excited to expand our offerings to include self-pay diagnostic ultrasounds and are seeking a certified Ultrasound Technician to join our team in delivering these new services.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging, patient care, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and medical staff. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician, you will play a key role in performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound exams for our pregnant clients.
Experience in transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound is a must.
Shifts will typically be 4-8 hours each, 1-3 days per week, more hours available as we grow. Days and times are flexible, but we are generally looking for someone who is available for at least 2-3 days Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn procedures.
- Utilize appropriate medical imaging techniques to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety protocols during procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
- Send studies to the radiologist to write the report using EMSOW
- Ensure accurate documentation of ultrasound results and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPPA regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
- Provide exceptional patient care throughout the imaging process, ensuring comfort and understanding.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical imaging, specifically in sonography.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic ultrasounds.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing diagnostic ultrasounds.
- Proficient knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program.
- General/OB Certified
- Must have passed SPI and hold RDMS certification/credentials
- Experience in Ob/Gyn abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound.
- Experience with GE Voluson Ultrasound systems
