What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Youche Country Club?
The Server will greet guests. They will take members/guests orders in the proper order. They will use POS to enter orders. Servers will be the ambassadors of the club with current and potentially new members. Servers will ensure that members/guests have a great dining experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Take orders from patrons
- serve drinks and food as ordered
- Ensure that all food and drinks are correct before serving table
- Maintain server/busser/bar area to ensure a clean and productive environment
- properly present wine drinks/and food
- Keep popcorn made/ and clean popcorn machine
- Ensure that patrons are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
- Seize upon every opportunity to upsell, making friendly recommendations to our members
- Use proper judgment and, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
- Submit orders or create requisition forms for all server related supplies
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- All other job duties assigned by a Manager to ensure the effective and orderly operations of the clubhouse
- Must be willing to work outside at the pool, halfway house, a course event, banquets, or any other area that we decided a server is needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age, legal drinking/serving age
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service
- availability to work weekends and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
Education and Experience:
- At least one year of related experience
- Indiana Liquor permit required
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
- Transports up to 25 pounds (such as a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift
Salary
- Hourly with tips
