Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office.
- Support the front desk with administrative tasks such as answering phones and handling patient inquiries when necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy, particularly related to dental health, is essential.
- Experience in pediatrics or working with children is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is required; knowledge of Eaglesoft software is advantageous.
- Understanding of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
- Experience in prosthodontics or endodontics will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform receptionist duties as needed, including managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
