Responsibilities
- Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and unit data prior to arrival
- Writes up customer’s unit problems accurately and clearly on repair orders
- Advises customers on the care of their units and the value of maintaining their units in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
- Refers to service history - inspects units - and recommends additional needed service
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
- Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
- Keeps service department forms - menus and pricing guides up-to-date
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers
- Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks
- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
Qualifications
- Related dealership experience and/or training preferred
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass background check and drug screen
- History of solid and successful employment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Career minded and goal oriented
