Prominent South Florida Family and Business Law Firm seeks an Experienced Family Law Paralegal with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience. Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-sufficient and independent but also a team player. Hybrid remote position, in-person office work will be required for hearing and trial preparations. Competitive pay based upon experience along with good benefits. Duties include communication with clients, discovery compliances, deposition / hearing / trial preparation, drafting of motions and responses, calendaring, e-filing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to lawyers and enhance office efficiency.
- Assist with communication with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and judicial assistants, etc.
- Keep clients and attorneys moving forward with discovery deadlines.
- Identify, organize, and label discovery documents for production. Prepare discovery responses, including financial affidavits.
- Review and chart out missing documents, draft motions to compel and discovery subpoenas.
- Review divisional instructions and prepare scheduled matters for hearing within the timeline / instructions of the assigned judge.
- Trial preparation.
- Monitor and manage calendar events and deadlines for multiple attorneys.
- Save emails, client / court documents to client file.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- In office attendance for case preparations, office meetings and other projects.
