Young & Champagne Electrical Sales (YCE Sales) is seeking a motivated outside sales representative to support our agencies sales and marketing efforts for our manufacturer’s products. As an outside sales team member, you will be responsible for calling on electrical distributors, electrical contractors, end users and engineers in the state of Indiana. What You’ll Do
Our outside sales role is key to the function and growth of our organization. Here’s what your day-to-day responsibilities will look like. However, we are constantly changing and require someone with a team player mentality who is always willing to help support your team overcome new challenges.
- You will be the face of our company: You will get to know every person at every electrical distributor and contractor in your territory.
- You will uncover opportunities to sell our products. You will meet with decision makers and collaborate with our inside sales team to close.
- You are a quick study: You will be responsible to attend manufacturer trainings to learn about each product line. You’ll be at the frontline of educating your customers about the product lines we represent.
- You will arrive at each sales call with a purpose. Your purpose is not delivering donuts and asking if anyone “needs anything”.
- You will stay organized and on top of your work via emails, phone & Teams calls while you balance in person sales calls.
- You are an independent self-starter who has no problem driving several hundred miles per week and operating from a mobile office (your car!).
- You’ll share your successes and best practices with the team to help support the team’s sales efforts.
- You will make joint sales calls with regional sales managers from our manufacturers when they are visiting your territory.
Key Qualifications
- You have a charismatic personality and can effectively build relationships and effectively communicate in person, over the phone and via email.
- Good at juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
- Tech-savvy and able to navigate your way around Microsoft Office. If you know what Adobe is and how to use it, that’s a plus!
- Strong attention to detail. Memory like an elephant.
Your Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- College degree in related field or relevant experience
- Customer facing sales experience preferred
