As a Toddler Caregiver at Young Expression Daycare, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children aged between 1 and 2 years. Your warm and friendly personality, coupled with sensitivity to the needs of children, will contribute to the overall well-being and growth of the toddlers in your care. Reporting to the Director(s), you will uphold the philosophy of Young Expression Daycare and ensure a positive experience for both children and their families.
Job Duties:
· Plan engaging activity schedules that encourage curiosity and development through our Frog Street Press Curriculum.
· Attend to the personal cleanliness of each child as well as the cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment, ensuring the safety and storage of equipment.
· Properly change diapers/Pull Ups according to childcare licensing minimum standards.
· Actively play and engage with children, fostering positive relationships. Log daily activities electronically and communicate with parents electronically using the Brightwheel App.
· Contribute to the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and aligned with the physical, social, and emotional needs of the children.
· Participate in the selection of age-appropriate books, equipment, and instructional materials as well as assist in language development and literacy skill plans.
· Support in meal preparation for children.
· Collaborate with team members, communicating effectively and contributing to a positive working environment. Attend all staff meetings, training programs, and conferences as recommended.
· Foster welcoming relationships with each child's family, encouraging their active involvement in the program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
