Parts Inventory Manager

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in inventory control, supply chain management, and customer service. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient procurement and management of parts, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of parts and supplies, ensuring timely availability to meet operational needs.
• Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels, conducting audits, and managing reordering.
• Utilize an order management system to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure quality of parts.
• Implement effective supply chain management strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to parts availability.
• Operate forklifts as necessary for the movement of parts within the facility.

Experience

• Proven experience in a parts management role or similar position
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical specifications of parts.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and order management software.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
