Position Overview:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of the shipping and receiving department.
Essential Duties:
Shipping/Receiving/Packaging
- Formulates and maintains quality shipping, receiving and inventory control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Orders and maintains standard shipping supplies. Requests quotes for best pricing.
- Interfaces with vendors via phone, fax, email, or in person.
- Supplies NAFTA Certificates and Certificates of Conformance as needed.
- Works closely with Customer Service, Quality and Production Departments.
- Receive and process returns.
- Package and label product.
- Check orders for accuracy (as defined by the Quality Process).
- Receive, Stock and Pull orders in a safe and clean manner.
- Help set-up and Line-up work for co-workers.
- Ship product (via UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, truck) Domestic and/or International.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and promote a clean and organized workspace area.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Assist with inventory count as scheduled.
- Survey and rotate stock product levels (with ERP system).
- Maintain literature levels and provide monthly counts.
- Other duties as needed or assigned by a direct Supervisor.
- Follow all written and verbal instructions/guidelines.
- Work and communicate with the team to meet quotas and goals.
- Record data (count, report accurately).
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
- Observe safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Maintain and clean work area and equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Training and Experience
High school diploma or GED and a year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
Office environment and occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
No domestic or international travel required.
