Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Role Description
Sprout is seeking responsible and experienced lifeguards for Summer 2025 (June 30-August 22 with a week of staff training before camp starts). In addition to traditional guarding duties, they also assist our Aquatics Director during instructional swims.
Qualifications
- Maintain constant surveillance of staff and campers whenever anyone is in the pool or at the pool deck
- Act immediately and appropriately whenever there is an emergency. Provide emergency care and treatment until someone with further medical training arrives at the scene
- Assist the Aquatics Director during instructional swim by teaching swim groups
- Be flexible and help other specialists and group counselors as needed on days that swimming does not take place
- Keep all certifications (lifeguard and CPR) up to date through the end of camp. Sprout Westchester Day Camp can provide certification or recertification

- Based on experience and qualifications
