Mission & Authority
This position is responsible for the coordination and support of operational priorities for the U.S. field by utilizing cross departmental organizational leadership and communication with the goal of reducing the operational burden to the field. As an advocate between US divisional offices, Mission Services, and Camping, this person will provide leadership and establish expectations in the area of field operations to all divisional and regional teams, and coordinate and support field operations and leadership ensuring the consistency of system, process, and policy utilization.
Essential Duties:
Operations
Support the VP of International Operations in the oversight and execution of Divisional Strategic goals in partnership with GSVPs and SVPs.
Facilitate ongoing development of policies and procedures related to international operations.
Evaluate operational systems, services, and programs for Intl field leadership, including solicitation of feedback to identify potential quality improvement areas for cost and efficiency.
Forecast operational needs and requirements for Young Life Intl field leadership.
Serve as an Intl Field Ops subject matter expert on various Mission Services projects for the field, including strategic working groups.
Assess and plan for stakeholder impacts of change being introduced through projects, operational changes, reinforcing activities, and new mission movements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mission-wide operational processes and applications, and ensure provision of ongoing training and support for Intl field audiences.
Serve as functional lead as assigned on select YL mission product teams.
Collaborate on the implementation and training of field ministry systems (i.e. YL Connect, Workday, etc.)
Develop communication strategies based on projects, operational changes, reinforcing activities, and new mission movements.
Participate in both short and long-term assignments, projects, and mission-wide tasks as directed by the vice president of Intl Operations.
Participate as deemed necessary in Intl leadership meetings and conferences and make on–site visits to help understand operational issues and support Divisional Operations staff, as needed.
Supervision
Empower and coach the Divisional Rollout Teams for ongoing product implementation strategies in all international divisions.
Empower and coach Divisional Rollout Teams in organizational change management disciplines of Leadership Alignment, Communications, Training, Support, and Feedback.
Coach and assist Divisional Rollout Teams to ensure seamless execution in all technical aspects.
Organize team meetings and agendas.
Facilitate project management processes and documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Identify, report on and respond to risks, assumptions and status of projects.
Conduct post-implementation project reviews.
Serve on the International Operations Lead Team. Participate in team meetings both in person and remotely.
Refine, reform, and streamline processes as needed to reduce the administrative burden to the field. Adjust timing to accommodate general international field schedules.
Support divisional operations directors/managers as needed to ensure consistency in operational process training.
Provide operational support to fulfill annual mission-wide strategic ministry goals

Qualifications Required for the Job:
5 years in organizational management required
Proven leadership ability.
Previous YL volunteer and/or staff experience. International Experience will be an added advantage.
Young Life systems and administration experience are highly desirable.
Familiarity with Young Life’s culture operational practices and policies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to edit and coach in these areas.
Possess knowledge of organizational and process improvement methodologies.
Experience in executive-level communication.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
