The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across farm facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires expertise in electrical systems, the ability to diagnose and repair issues, and a strong commitment to safety standards. The role will support the Maintenance Department in completing projects on time and on budget while adhering to all applicable regulations.
Essential Functions:
· Install new electrical systems in farm structures and processing facilities.
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including circuits, motors, and control panels.
· Design and improve electrical systems to optimize farm operations.
· Ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies regarding electrical work.
· Order and maintain inventory of electrical parts and equipment.
· Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure.
· Collaborate with farm personnel and maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency.
· Document electrical work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the State of Utah.
· Strong knowledge of industrial and agricultural electrical systems.
· Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
· Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
· Experience working independently and in a team environment.
· Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
· Understanding and adherence to workplace safety protocols.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions.
Required Education and Experience:
· State of Utah Journeyman Electrician License.
· 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
· A combination of relevant education and work experience may meet the requirement.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Experience working in agriculture, farming, or industrial environments.
· Additional training in control systems, automation, or energy efficiency.
· Familiarity with irrigation system electrical components.

Work Environment:
This job operates in an agricultural setting. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to machinery. Exposure to various outdoor elements such as dust, animals, and plants is common.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is typically based on seasonal demands and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.
Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager.
