What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Coordinator(Plant Exp Required) position at Young Management & Consulting?
The primary duties of this position include successful coordination of multiple projects and key client relationships for projects in our Energy, Electric Transmission and Distribution group.
The coordinator will be responsible for tactical safety focused construction activities and day-to-day field operations to ensure project is constructed as specified by the design.
The coordinator will assist the Construction Manager in overseeing field personnel throughout the project life cycle to achieve project milestones.
The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the owner, subcontractors, regulatory agencies and other project stakeholders.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist Construction Manager in directing field personnel on tactical construction activities (i.e. safety walks, inspections, permitting, scope execution, tool-box talks, etc.)
- Ensure work is being construction in accordance with the plans and prints
- Assist in construction schedule and/or micro schedule that outlines expected completed milestones on daily and weekly basis
- Prepare and maintain daily logs and timecards for personnel under supervision
- Manage jobsite cleanliness and recycling efforts
- Host daily Job briefings
- Ensure project team follow company safety program, laws, OSHA and/or F5 requirements
- Ensure quality checks and inspections are established
- Understanding of substation construction below and above grade
- Understanding of substation testing and commissioning
- Receive and coordinate site deliveries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited curriculum is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience in construction industry
- Journeymen lineman, journeymen electrician experience preferred
- Experience with electrical distribution, transmission or substations required
- Understanding of substation construction below and above grade
- Understanding of substation testing and commissioning
- Experience with Government, Technical and/or Infrastructural construction management experience preferred
- Excellent written communications, both internal & external
- Knowledge of various utility policies and procedures as well as industry wide practices and safety regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work remote
- Valid driver's license required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
