What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at YOUNG MANAGEMENT?
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician for our team to undertake the responsibility to preserve and improve the condition and functionality of our apartment community. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, make readys, general repairs, grounds clean up, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings, units, and common areas in the best possible condition.
Essential Duties:
- Survey buildings and repair systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Maintain plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs (regular and emergency work orders)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. grounds) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Preventative maintenance and full make ready process from repairs to cleaning
- Conduct Unit Inspections
- Prepare for all physical inspections by outside agencies
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Experience with REAC inspections a plus
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- HVAC certified a plus
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, carry over 50lbs, regularly go up and down stairs
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to respond to after hours calls
