POSITION SUMMARY:
Environmental Services play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the organization's facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform cleaning duties to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the facility, including but not limited to restrooms, fitness centers, offices, common areas, and other spaces as assigned.
2. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe down surfaces; empty trash and recycling containers regularly.
3. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste materials following established safety and environmental guidelines.
4. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas and Environmental Services equipment.
5. Assist in maintaining inventory and restocking supplies as needed, such as paper products, cleaning agents, and other consumables.
6. Report any maintenance or safety issues observed during routine cleaning duties to the Facilities Manager promptly.
7. Collaborate with other Environmental services staff to efficiently complete cleaning tasks and support special event setups and breakdowns as required.
8. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to facility security measures to protect the well-being of staff, members, and visitors.
9. Assist with event set up and take down.

Six months or more of related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all aspects of Environmental Services work.
- Physical ability to perform Environmental services tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
HOURS: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends
- Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends, depending on facility operating hours and events.
- Physical demands include bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- The work environment may expose you to cleaning agents and chemicals, necessitating adherence to safety guidelines.
- The noise level is usually minimal to moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk on uneven surfaces; sit; handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is usually minimal to moderate.
