What are the responsibilities and job description for the Martial Arts Master Instructor - North YMCA position at YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF WICHITA KANSAS?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instructing and evaluating class participants in accordance with YMCA guidelines.
- Beginning and ending classes on time; being available to answer participant and/or parent questions as needed.
- Responsible for conveying information on martial arts programs and schedules and as appropriate, referring students and parents to other programs.
- Responsible for building effective, authentic relationships with students, parents, volunteers and staff.
- Gathering feedback from members and sharing with supervisor to improve service.
- Responsible for organization and clean-up of class equipment. Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities, unsafe conditions or feedback to supervisor verbally and in writing.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants while participating in programs.
- Following and enforcing all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
- Being knowledgeable and prepared to implement emergency procedures.
- Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form as required and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
- Attending all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
- Maintaining prompt hours and follow established procedures for absences.
- Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.
