Position Summary
The Community Impact Coordinator plays a vital role in strengthening the YMCA’s connection to the community by leading collaborative efforts, managing essential community programs, and overseeing outreach initiatives that address food access, mental health, homelessness, and self-sufficiency. This position will be responsible for facilitating key partnerships, including Stronger Together and MassHealth's Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) initiatives, while ensuring effective program delivery and accurate data management.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration & Community Engagement
Lead, host, and manage the Stronger Together Alliance Meetings quarterly to convene community partners.
Build and strengthen partnerships between local businesses, nonprofits, and municipal offices to enhance city- and town-wide services.
Serve as the YMCA’s key liaison with MassHealth HRSN, ensuring alignment with program goals and community needs.
Host and facilitate monthly Self-Sufficiency Meetings, bringing together stakeholders to address barriers to economic stability.
Program Oversight & Coordination
Oversee and manage daily operations of the YMCA’s food access program, including :
Coordinating meal delivery and grocery box distribution through MassHealth.
Supervising staff and volunteers supporting food access initiatives.
Expanding outreach efforts and ensuring program efficiency.
Manage and support additional community-based initiatives related to food access, mental health, and homelessness.
Data Management & Reporting
Collect, track, and analyze data to measure program impact and meet reporting requirements.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with MassHealth HRSN and other grant-funded programs.
Use technology and database systems to manage program logistics, participant tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in community development, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
2 years of experience in community engagement, program coordination, nonprofit work, or data-driven program management.
Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and facilitation skills for hosting meetings and managing programs.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies.
Data management experience, including tracking program outcomes, reporting metrics, and analyzing trends.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management systems.
Ability to organize and oversee multiple programs while meeting deadlines.
Experience managing volunteers and staff in a community service setting.
Other Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based with regular travel to community meetings, program sites, and partner organizations.
Occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 lbs).
Comfortable working in diverse environments and engaging with individuals from various backgrounds.
