As a healthy living coach, you are a critical component to assisting individuals with behavior change as they engage in a healthier lifestyle. Through engagement, encouragement, coaching and meaningful connections, you create the cornerstone to their success.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
- Provide courteous, prompt and sincere attention to members, guests, participants and staff.
- Provide Healthy Living Initiatives such as Smart Start Trainings, Youth Fitness Fundamentals, Orientations, and other member engagements initiatives.
- Responsible for member engagement and follow-up communication.
- Ensure facilities are picked up, safe and free from clutter.
- Give exceptional tours when necessary share the features of the YMCA and its offerings
- Foster and build strong member relationships
- Serve as a role model for policies and guidelines in the wellness center.
- Maintain a safe, clean and functional wellness center.
- Replenish and maintain appropriate health and safety materials throughout the facility (hand sanitizer, paper towels, soap, disinfectant spray, etc.)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred minimum Age 21
