This position is seasonal and will last from mid-May until early September.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Aquatic Supervisor, working as part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver, will deliver professional customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the center. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and innovation in all aspects of their work. The Aquatic Supervisor will be responsible for the training and supervision at all assigned pools. Under the direct supervision of the HOA Manager will create and ensure an excellent experience for all members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure that safety is always a priority in your pools and adhere to YMCA Aquatic Guidelines and YMCA Risk Management Guidelines
- Be visible to participants at all times-work towards creating an excellent member experience
- Provide efficient scheduling of facility
- Ability to lead and motivate others within the aquatics department
- Ensure all staff follow emergency plans and are current in all training and certifications
- Maintain a clean and safe YMCA. Take initiative to clean up/repair areas
- Always be dressed in appropriate attire and wear nametag
- Attend and remain current on all mandatory trainings and staff meetings
- Report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor immediately using proper forms
- Be trained, willing and available to teach swim lessons and water exercise classes
- Hire, Train, Schedule and supervise all aquatics staff
- Current Lifeguarding certification, CPR and First Aid are required. CPO and LGI preferred
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and water chemistry of the pool and pool operation
- Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Benefits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and/or one to three years of aquatic management experience
- Obtain YMCA Team Leader certified within three years of hire date
- Should hold current certification in the following: YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor, YMCA Lifeguard, CPR PRO, AED, First Aid, Oxygen, Certified Pool Operator
- If not already held, must become certified in the following: YMCA Lifeguard Instructor, CPR Pro/AED/O2/First Aid Instructor
