Position Summary:
Provides direct leadership, instruction, supervision, and support to the Membership Services department as well as the Swim Lessons program.
Essential Functions:
Create, update, and distribute information and communicate with staff, community, current and prospective members
Develop and execute Annual Campaign strategies to reach branch goals/expectations
Provide excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants
Build relationships with members and program participants
Applies all YMCA policies when dealing with member services/swim lesson program
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all swim lesson instructors
Maintains records as required
Conducts staff meetings and trainings with swim lesson instructors as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work occasional evenings and/or weekends
Must have or be able to obtain Certified Pool Operator certification within the first 30 days
Must have or be able to obtain Swim Lesson Instructor Trainer certification within the first 30 days
Must have or be able to obtain CPR/1st Aid Trainer certification within the first 30 days
Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to relate effectively to divers groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
