The Heart of the Valley YMCA is seeking a full-time Aquatics Program Specialist to help support our ever-expanding Aquatics department. The pool, water fitness classes and swim lessons at the Y are considered the gold-standard and our next Specialist will help us maintain that standard. Aquatics programming runs in the morning, afternoon & evening. Share your passion for aquatics, and most importantly fun, to create a successful aquatics program for our growing branch and community.
This is a full-time leadership position, ideal for those with previous pool, swim &/or aquatics experience.
What You’ll Do
- Teach and share your love of gymnastics with participants of all ages & abilities.
- Supervise gymnastics instructors, including training and ongoing education.
- Responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling & registrations.
- Provide additional support to the Gymnastics Director & Coordinator.
- Currently certified in CPR & First Aid for the Professional Rescuer.
- Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Instructor is preferred, but not required.
- Certified as a YMCA Progressive and/or Preschool Instructor, and/or WSI preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience of teaching aquatic programs for all ages and levels is preferred.
