The Fox Cities YMCA Swim Team (FCYST) is hiring an assistant swim team head coach for our competitive swim club. As an assistant head coach, you’ll work with swimmers of all ages and abilities, sharing your experience as a competitive swimmer & athlete. Lead practices from both the water & from the dry deck and attend all swim meets, including being able to help host events. Work closely with our swim team head coach, to continue growing our program as well as our young athletes. As a coach, you'll need to excel at being an excellent communicator, sharing information with parents about team activities, practices and events, along with helping to manage team staff. Share your passion for the sport with the next generation of swimmers.
This is a full-time position. The FCYST swim team practices primarily in the evening with competitions over the weekends.
The Fox Cities YMCA Swim Team (FCYST) is a club swim team that is both YMCA and USA Swimming sponsored. We hold athletes & coaching staff to a high standard by enforcing the core values of the Y.
- Previous experience as a competitive swimmer is required.
- Prior experience of teaching & coaching aquatic programs for all ages and levels is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working within web-based application/platform for managing athletics & communicating with staff is preferred.
- Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First-Aid & AED or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
