The YMCA of the Fox Cities is hiring both full-time & part-time child care teachers. Work with children ranging in age from infants through 6-years old. As an early childhood teacher, create your own lessons plans and an environment that fosters early learning & social development. Enhance children's learning experiences through play, language, and interactive activities. Families love bringing their children to the Y because of our amazing teachers and the high-quality of child care.
This role can be full- or part-time with opportunity for hours Monday through Friday between 6:30 am-5:45 pm.
Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply. The Y can provide coursework & support to complete these requirements.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
- Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred.
Assistant Teacher Positions Possess one or more of following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire:
- Completion of Introduction to Child Care Professions course
- At least 2 credits in early childhood education, qualifying coursework
- Assistant Teacher registry certificate
Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions:
- Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or education-related.
- Teacher registry certificate
