The Heart of the Valley Y is hiring Kids Corner Staff for our in-house drop-in child care program. Bring your energy to play, create and giggle with children ages 6 weeks to 7 years old. The Kids Corner offers childcare while parents & guardians use the Y, up to 2 hours per day. Working within our short-term child care center, staff bring smiles to children’s faces while leading age-appropriate activities to ensure a safe environment for our youngest members.
This is a part-time position with shift opportunities between 8:00am and 12:00pm on Mondays thru Fridays. Working at the Y comes with incredibly flexible schedule. Additional hours in other areas of the Y are also available.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Prior experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate with both children and adults.
- Ability to multitask, as well as an eye for safety and behavior management
