The Appleton YMCA hiring Group Fitness Instructors to lead fitness classes. You provide the energetic know-how and the enthusiasm; we’ll provide the equipment and resources you need to succeed. We encourage those with a passion for fitness to apply, no matter what your prior experience. We can provide all the necessary trainings. Lift, kick, pedal, stretch or grapevine your way into the hearts of our members!
This is a part-time position. Additional hours are also available. Currently growing our Strength & Resistance, Cycling & Water class offerings.
- Intermediate knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise physiology.
- Certification in Group Fitness &/or Strength & Conditioning or be willing to obtain through Y USA or another nationally-recognized program.
- Certification in CPR, First-Aid & AED or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
- Prior experience in teaching fitness classes or have completed the Y’s Group Fitness Instructor Training Program or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
