The Neenah-Menasha YMCA is hiring full- and part-time childcare teachers for our childcare center, including our 2-year-old and 4-year-old classrooms. As an early childhood teacher, you'll have the opportunity to develop your own lesson plans for the children in your room. You'll create an environment that fosters early learning and social development. Enhance children's learning experience through play, language, and interactive activities, as well as use positive procedures when guiding children's behavior. Families love bringing their children to our early childhood care programs because of our amazing teachers.
The YMCA provides opportunities for education and advancement. Everyone is encouraged to apply and we will work with you to get your necessary certifications.
This is position has both full-time and part-time openings with hours Monday through Friday between 8:00am - 6:00pm.
Applicants who do not obtain these courses are encouraged to apply. The Y can provide coursework & support to complete these requirements.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.
- Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred.
Assistant Teacher Positions Possess one or more of following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire:
- Completion of Introduction to Child Care Professions course
- At least 2 credits in early childhood education, qualifying coursework
- Assistant Teacher registry certificate
Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions:
- Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or education-related.
- Teacher registry certificate
