POSITION SUMMARY:
The YBASE District Coordinator will assist the YBASE Director in the overall direction and development of the YBASE program. The YBASE District Coordinator will provide day-to-day operating functions and site supervision essential to the ongoing success of the YBASE program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee and assist assigned school sites with daily program and curriculum implementation for up to as many as 20 program sites.
- Assist the Branch Director in site development and for assigned school sites.
- Provide regular and frequent coaching, feedback, and development strategies to assist Site Directors in their programs. Including evaluation of site functions and staff development. Support Site Directors in administering corrective action.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of nutrition program sheets at assigned sites.
- Regular site inspections for all assigned school sites following a weekly site visit schedule.
- Provide training to new Site Director and Group Leaders following the training manuals.
- The point of contact for all staff attendance calls in assigned district.
- Recruit, interview, and hire Site Directors for assigned sites.
- Assist the Director in providing on-site site inspections and quality controls on an as needed basis.
- Assure compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met, and safety procedures are followed and accurately reported to the Director. Assists in maintaining proper documentation for Bright From the Start, the State of Georgia’s Licensing division.
- Oversee the proper storing of all BFTS required documents at the site.
- Ensure all staff properly record time and assist in time collection.
- Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living.
- Develops and maintains relationships with state childcare licensing agency, school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned school sites.
- Provides staff leadership for annual fund-raising campaign and committees as assigned.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
- Assist in the overall retention and satisfaction of YMCA members and participants through appropriate customer service.
- Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, parents, and children.
- Willingly perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent sound working knowledge of child development principles, professional training working with school age kids.
- One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare programs.
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Blood borne Pathogens; annual state licensing training.
- Must be able to fulfill criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children as required by Bright from the Start regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
