Position Summary
The Business Development Manager for Young Office is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive
strategic plan that generates qualified (new) business opportunities that will help the company achieve its sales goals.
Position Responsibilities- Essential

- Develop new customer relationships
- Seek customers in company target markets through research and direct contact with potential customers
- Generate project/business opportunities and RFPs through customer contact to meet company’s business plans
and growth strategies
- Drive the sales process from inquiry/RFP coordination through “Closing the Deal”
- Develop and maintain relationships with Vendors
- Collaborate with company management to prepare and implement the company’s Marketing and Business
Development Plan and strategy for meeting business goals
- Track and report status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments
- Lead the development and preparation of RFP’s, Pre-Qualification, formal presentations
- Ensure communications with customers are in accordance with standards and correct in content and format
- Solicit customer feedback through the project proposal and execution phases
- Maintain customer/potential customer contact lists
- Develop and maintain ancillary industry relationships (architects, designers, engineers, real estate professionals,
economic development professionals, general contractors)
- Participate in Civic, Industry and Business organizations.

Essential Skills and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven record in outside sales experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess excellent ability to prioritize and remain organized.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Basic business acumen and an understanding of how the dealership works.
- Proficiency with MS Office and other software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Positive and upbeat attitude
- Ability to work in a challenging, dynamic, and high growth environment.
- Team Player
- Self-Starter
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in business, management, or related field.
