The YWCA of the City of New York (YW-NYC) is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We are a social justice organization dedicated to addressing issues that emerge at the intersection of race, class, and gender. Founded in 1858, the YW- NYC is the first YW in the United States and part of an international movement of YWs worldwide. We currently serve 2,500 New York City school children by providing leadership and advocacy training for young women through our high school Girls Initiatives and Out-of-School Time (OST) programs for middle school and middle school students in diverse communities in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The Multi-Site Program Supervisor is responsible for the direct oversight of all four middle school DYCD funded after school programs and implementation of high-quality OST programs that support positive youth development aligned with YW-NYC’s mission. The Multi-site Program supervisor will support the OST DYCD Program Directors Middle school programs by providing professional development, coaching, and strategic oversight to ensure programs are effective and follow all licensing and funder requirements. In this role, the Multi-site Program Supervisor may also support middle school programs as needed. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Programs.

Leadership & Supervision
- Support the execution of the YWCA of NYC strategic direction.
- Supervise program staff, including the hiring and management of staff and completing annual performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff
- Plan and implement regular site visits to schools
- Plan and execute regular monthly Middle school Program Director meetings.
- Provide day-to-day supervision of YWCA NYC middle school afterschool program staff and report to the Senior Director of Programs
- Foster a proactive learning community among staff members and key program stakeholders to encourage best practices, interdepartmental collaboration, and continuous program improvement.
- Foster internal and external strategic professional development opportunities for staff (including but not limited to study groups, peer working groups, retreats, training, conferences, etc.)
- Maintain program director’s responsibilities for one designated middle school site. Fill in for other Program Directors as needed in the event of absence or transition.
- Support human resources functions for program staff, including recruitment and interviews, onboarding and orientation, employee paperwork, payroll review, hiring forms, and disciplinary action.
Contract Management & Compliance (DYCD/ OCFS)
- Ensure that DYCD Connect is updated and all contractual obligations and requirements are fulfilled, including participant attendance, work scopes, program activity schedules, and staffing. Oversee and monitor DYCD Connect, ADA & ROP requirements for all middle school programs.
- Maintain FAMS for middle school programs, ensuring compliance and clearances are in order
- Maintain DOHMH records needed for program administration and respond to DOH violations with corrective action plans
- Ensure program safety, security, and risk management
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
- Conduct three formal internal evaluations and assessment of programs
Budget Management
- Ensure all expenses are budgeted appropriately and help with the oversight of all vendor expenditures and payments.
- Collaborate with finance team to create and monitor budget reports
- Identify and prioritize budget needs and allocate resources accordingly
- Monitor and manage program expenses, including payroll, supplies, and services
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders
Programmatic Excellence
- Ensure that YWCA of NYC Mission, Vision and Values are an integral part and evidently interwoven in the program’s framework.
- Ensure a strong relationship between the school day curriculum and the COMPASS program
- Manage special projects and initiatives such as financial literacy, Funny Girls etc. programs.
- Measure program performance regularly through data analysis and feedback, assessing the effectiveness of current processes and identifying areas for improvement to optimize workflows and enhance overall program efficiency.
- Ensure programs are youth-centered, engaging, and relevant
- Ensure that each location is developing and implementing STEM activities to meet DYCD requirements
- Promote social-emotional learning, character development, restorative Justice and academic success
- Ensure programs are accessible and inclusive for diverse youth populations
Partnerships
- Ensure a strong relationship between the school day curriculum and the COMPASS program
- Build and maintain strong professional relations with each school principal and key school faculty members to ensure the programs meet programming milestones
- Work effectively with DYCD program officers to ensure program excellence
- Manage program communications, including parent notifications and community outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders
Requirements
- SACC Credentials OR Bachelor’s degree Education, Youth Development or Psychology, master’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of DYCD Connect, OCFS Regulations and Administration of FAMS.
- 3 years leading OST programs or other education/youth programs with a track record of success
- Deep knowledge of anti-racism and gender equity principles and practices
- Ability to balance extreme attention to detail, strong administrative ability with a visionary approach
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
- Strong computer skills; including using databases and developing presentations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a bonus
- Strong work ethic and professional values
- Commitment to promoting YW-NYC’s social justice mission and educational and youth development philosophy
- Ability and willingness to travel to all four program sites, as needed
The Multi-Site Supervisor will be stationed and directly supervise one middle school. This is a full-time, exempt position. The Multi-Site Program Supervisor role requires regular travel across New York City and occasional travel outside of the city (e.g., attending a conference). The Multi-Site Program Supervisor must be able to sit and stand for long periods depending on the assigned projects and use a computer and phone to communicate with staff and partners. Reasonable accommodation will be made if needed for candidates who can fulfill the essential functions of the job.
In addition, the Multi-Site Program Director will serve as the lead director for the assigned programs, operating out of one of the middle school sites. This will be their primary office location, and they will be stationed there regularly to oversee day-to-day operations, lead
program initiatives and ensure smooth coordination across all sites under their supervision.
