What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Music Teacher position at Young World Educational Services?
Currently seeking an Elementary Music Teacher to teach General Music/Chorus, for grades Pre K-8 in New Bedford, MA. Candidates must be available on Monday and Thursday. For the right candidate an additional 2 days per week will be available in Fairhaven, MA on Wednesday and Friday. Although certifications are not required, ideal candidates will have a solid background in music, be enthusiastic, enjoy working with children, and available school day hours. New graduates, retired teachers and musicians/vocalists with strong organization skills and or experience working with children are welcome to apply. Please submit resume.
Some responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement engaging music lessons for elementary students
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their growth
- Organize and lead school performances and events showcasing student talents
- Utilize effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
Job Type: Part-time
