The weekly hours will vary based on the needs of the program. Program hours vary. Ability to work morning and afternoon shifts will be required.JOB GOAL : To assist in providing an enriching, exciting, and fun summer experience to the children enrolled in our Chelmsford Community Education Summer Programs, ensuring all participants have a memorable time during any activities provided. This position covers all Chelmsford Community Education Programs, including but not limited to : Summerfest, SummerQuest, Field Play, etc.QUALIFICATIONS : A High School student of at least 15 years of age with Working Papers.Related experience working with children / teens desirable.Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable by the Director of Community Education.CORI and fingerprinting completed and accepted.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : Assist the Supervisor in implementing the daily provided program plan.Work with children ages PreK-9th Grade in a positive and supportive manner.Ability to work on the floor, lift over 50 lbs, work outdoors during all weather conditions, stay on their feet, and other physical requirements as needed. Some programs will travel daily rain or shine.Under direction of Supervisor, implement plans and activities to help children with behavioral or physical challenges.Willingness to be trained.Accept and adhere to all guidelines set forth in handbooks.Report all necessary problems and / or information to supervisor.Assist with the supervision of students.Assume responsibility for classroom / students during the Supervisor's / Instructor's short absence.Perform all other related duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate.Attend and complete all required training, and attend 1 day of prep / setup as required prior to the Summer.Perform various instructional, clerical, supportive and other related duties under the direction of the Supervisor.Help offer our students an amazing summer filled with games, laughter, and positive interaction.Terms Of Employment : Position ranges from part-time to full-time.Hours will vary based on program.Salary is $15 per hour.REPORTS TO : Program Supervisor and Director of Community EducationEVALUATION : Job performance will be evaluated by the program Supervisor.Application Process : Send letter of interest and resume to : Ms. Robyn Adams, DirectorChelmsford Community Education170 Dalton Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824adamsr@chelmsford.k12.ma.usPosition Type : SummerPositions Available : 15Salary : $15 to $15 Per HourJob Categories : Career Education >
