What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Construction Laborer position at Youngblood Excavating & Contracting?
Youngblood Excavating & Contracting is seeking an eager laborer with heavy equipment operating experience. The tasks this candidate could help perform include but not limited to dirt work, maintaining job site housekeeping, installing wet utilities, building forms, pouring concrete, erecting PEMB buildings while also possessing the ability and knowledge to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Candidate responsibilities will be but not limited to the following:
- Ability to perform manual labor and assist co-workers as directed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and summer/winter temperatures
- Perform traffic control procedures when needed
- Ability to use site transits, laser levels and measuring tools
- May operate various hand or power tools
- Ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, backhoe, front-end loader, dozer & excavator
- Take direction well from others and be willing to learn new task and take on new responsibility
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction industry
- Ability to lift minimum weight of 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, balance and stoop
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Adhere to all safety regulations
- Work as team member
- Equipment operating skill test demonstration would be required based off of said ability prior to job offer
