What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista - Youngs Farm Cafe position at Youngs Farm - Organic Farm and Bakery?
Youngs Farm Cafe is looking for experienced baristas for both part-time and full-time positions throughout the year. Full-time positions require working five days a week, totaling 40 to 42 hours/week. Part-time position is 18-30 hours/week.
We are a small café located inside the Hirshleifers store at the Americana Mall, open seven days a week. We are operated by Youngs Farm, a certified organic farm in Old Brookville. As a satellite of the farm, we offer a variety of baked goods, branded apparel, and other favorites from the farm stand, in addition to a full menu of specialty coffee and tea beverages. Our goal is to showcase the best of the farm to all our clientele in the unique setting of the Americana.
We are seeking an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
- Year-round availability.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced coffee shops or similar food service establishments.
- Knowledge of food safety principles, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and the temperature danger zone.
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods and to lift and move heavy stock.
- A passion for building positive, genuine relationships with customers and providing the best possible experience for all guests.
