JOB SUMMARY
The front desk attendant for Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries will be the first point of contact for our guests.
Job Responsibilities :
- Maintains a continual presence at the assigned entry / exit
- Serves visitors by greeting and directing them appropriately.
- Assists visitors with signing in and out in the visitor log book
- Works as a liaison for visitors and staff members by relaying messages to visitors when staff members are running late, informing staff members when visitors arrive, and finding answers to questions visitors may have
- Maintains a safe environment by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
- Keeps a clean, welcoming, and comfortable reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Supports accounting, mission, human resources, marketing, and operation departments.
- Performs photocopying, faxing, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Alerts corporate staff to suspicious persons and / or situations in the entrance area and lobby, and may act as a witness during apprehension situations
- Performs bag checks for visitors and assists when requested with bag checks for employees
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Skills :
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE / LICENSE REQUIRED
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Employee must be able to use personal computers, Microsoft Office and to run spreadsheets, word processing, databases, etc. and the internet.
HOURS WORKED
The position may be part or full time. Full time will work Monday through Friday 7 : 30-4 : 30. Part time must be available to work shifts of Monday-Friday 7 : 30-12 : 00 or Monday-Friday 12 : 00-4 : 30.
NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED
The position includes work during Monday through Friday.
OVERTIME HOURS
Generally, overtime hours are not scheduled; however, overtime may be required based on the needs of the company.
